All surface to air fireworks are illegal but, due to covid-19 cabin fever, people just didn't care this year. This recording is almost 99% voice free. There was a couple on a balcony that are barely heard muttering something in just a minute or two of this recording. For the most part, it's clean. I kept the peaks very low to maintain a natural sound. All of my sounds recordings are provided free of all charges. This is a field recording taken in a suburban location in the city of cincinnati just over ten minutes in length. This recording, unlike my previous insect recordings, was taken in an actual forrest on south mountain reservation, millburn nj (as opposed to my backyard). There is a distant airplane in the background (south mountain is near newark airport) but otherwise its much cleaner than my previous recordings, pretty much isolating the patch of crickets. ---two primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1.
